AMD has announced their 6000 series today. The 6900 will be available in mid December, so start shopping for these in January - Febuary time frame.
The 6900XT blows the 3090 out of the water in some numbers. The AMD design relies more on a high performance cache, while Nvidia relies mostly on a high performance memory bus. Nvidia will likely be forced into an early refresh in the May-June timeframe. They are already pushing their Ampere architecture to its redline (some room for a process node shrink) so I expect their next architecture caled "Hopper" will be their response. AMD seems to be settling into an anual release clock and will probably release a 7000 series in ~15 months, so spring 2022. https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-rtx-3090.c3622 https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/radeon-rx-6900-xt.c3481 -- The vaccine is a LIE. #EggCrisis The Great Reset Powers are not rights. ------------------------------------------ Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T079f29fb2fb0c97c-M966cf01a24d9c26e9f9c7b91 Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
