If you mean the ability to answer any question AND with perfect accuracy, the answer is no, you can't know everything because you'd need to know about the particles that make up "your know". It's a very different reality though than this, if we have a finite universe, then we can turn all the universe into predictable structure and we are PRESENTED with less diverse situations/questions/prompts. And if the universe is infinite/expanding, you are still not presented with every situation, at least some are rare if are, and that's the hole in the AI right there is the rare cases, so it seems to us.
As I said above, the universe around you could throw rare situations at your home-world, and the only way to overcome this non-general intelligence (able to answer any problem) is to increase intelligence, and to do that you need to SCALE. If you wait 1 trillion years for the rare devastating case that will kill your home-world, you die, but in that time you can quickly make your home-world twice the size, and so now you have 2 trillion years before total annihilation. The way this works is because the probability of death / rare cases is SO small, but the ability to scale your civilization by a probability of x2 is super easy / fast, except for the times you need to traverse to other galaxies far far away, not sure how long that'd take but surely shorter than the time to meet a bad rare case? ------------------------------------------ Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/Ta433301e9ac5fb42-Mf59a4b194fcc6219b448b5c1 Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
