Text is a representation of something not that something so the same gobbledygook can be resplattered on a canvass, a perceiver, in many different coherent and fluid permutations even if a software created the original meaning. Words, sentences and entire texts can be synonymized dynamically and strung together from concept. Text isn’t AGI it’s a lossily compressed AND lossily expanded serialized communicational representation of something which might include original nonsensical ideas reorganized coherently by common grammar patterns. Chatbots have been around since I remember in the BBS days of the 80’s just now they’re much better. It’s a question of how long can you fool someone not if. ------------------------------------------ Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T72ec30e7be059220-M2266241fd470bedce786ffe0 Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
