I tried ZPAQ on the two multi-file examples. In one of them, ZPAQ trails slightly behind 7z in compression (21k over 19k), beating my solution by a few k.
In the other example, ZPAQ trails the field (LINECOMP 18k, 7zip 22k, ZPAQ 48k). In all fairness, all of the compressors do a good job here though compared to the input size. What if I want to extract one file from a big zpaq archive? Does it have to go through all the files before it?
