Text only seems easy because doing absurdly trivial computations on it
has been extremely profitable for the makers of the computers we use for
the last 60 years...

The brain uses about one third of it's entire anatomy just to have a
basic conversation. In evolutionary terms, language didn't really appear
until 80-150 thousand years ago.

No, what we need to do is go back to the beginning and build up the
nervous system from the parts we can understand, to the parts we think
we understand and finally conqueror the parts we don't understand.

The VR platform I keep bringing up is the tool to do that.
