Last night I came up with a short way to say my point: If there was no free
lunch, then all the particles in the universe would have the same laws or
random laws. What I mean is physics works a certain way, Earth is evolving a
certain way, and this path that it favors is the Ride we get for free. No
matter how you look at it, the evolution 'E' of a system is simply what happens
and we have to be happy with it - water flowing down a river has no other
choice, we aren't lucky to have the laws of physics we have. So yes things are
very predictable; our physics favors a path(s) of evolution. As for the
hitching a ride with mom's dinners but someone still pays the price (mom), of
course, you get something for free....and she probably gets some stuff for free
too..... But as I said it doesn't matter what we get for 'free', it's just
evolution taking its path. We have laws of physics. Predicting stuff is part of
that. And the form we evolve into will be a Survival type, we will be much more
happier / very long lives / our searches will be very more perfect and will
survive/succeed using those searches...hence for our physics and our system we
totally 'win' and have great search and plan of action.
