That's just so funny for two reasons: Smart people believing they can
"contain" or "control" AGI and this ridiculously absurd idea in moral
superiority of mediocre individuals.
I would love to compare this with cockroaches trying to control and herd
human beings ... but then again, cockroaches are pre-egoic entities and
thus morally superior to 99% of all humans. In comparison, it's more
like Trump telling you how to behave ...
I wouldn't be surprised if the AGI tells this board (in an
unconditionally loving way): "So you really thought that your funny
board is in a position to morally judge and control me? When was the
last time you fed a homeless person living under the bridge next door?
When was the last time you did something about the inhumane living
conditions billions of people suffer from? Didn't you work on creating
me in order to offload any moral obligation?"
