Dear colleagues,

We are writing to invite you to participate in the planning process for LD4
2026, the annual conference of the LD4 community which works together to
advance GLAM practices with a focus on linked open data. The next LD4
Conference will take place online from 28 - 30 SEPTEMBER 2026. We hope to
design an engaging and informative conference by convening a diverse group of
volunteers bringing together a wide range of skill levels, interests, and
backgrounds.

Please fill out this brief form<https://forms.gle/hutCjCg6mJ4b985e8> to
indicate your interest in helping to plan and run the 2026 LD4 Conference. All
selected volunteers will automatically be a part of the Programming Committee,
which vets proposals for conference sessions, works on scheduling concerns, as
well as other tasks relating to the conference program. In addition,
volunteers will serve on one or more subcommittees of their choosing: Outreach
Committee, Technology & Accessibility Committee, and Social Committee.
Volunteers will be expected to attend a monthly programming committee meeting
(1 hour), a monthly subcommittee meeting (1 hour), and complete any supporting
tasks needed for the committees' work. Here are the scopes of these committees:

  * Outreach Committee: Draft and distribute communications and promotional
materials relating to the conference. Develop and maintain content for the
conference website. Identify possibilities for partnerships with groups
outside of LD4. Help with facilitation of sessions during the conference.
  * Technology & Accessibility Committee: ensure the seamless operation of
conference platforms and applications, including Zoom, Slack, Sched, and
YouTube, while maintaining a strong commitment to accessibility. Develop
guidelines for platform use, troubleshoot technical issues, and verify that
accessibility measures from previous conferences are effectively implemented.
Identify areas for improvement and ensure that all technological and
accessibility features function properly throughout the event.
  * Social Committee: develop informal social programming for the conference.
Suggest updates and additions to conference participation guidelines and code
of conduct. Help with facilitation of social programs and other sessions during
the conference.
  *
To see detailed role descriptions and express your interest to participate,
please complete the form below by 8 JUNE 2026. Volunteers will be notified of
the chairs' decisions by 15 JUNE 2026. The committee will begin to meet in the
