Dear colleagues and friends,

We have a new post in our Dagbanli Dictionary series:

"Mozilla Common Voice Meets Wikidata (How the Dagbanli Dictionary Got Audio
Usage Examples)"

In it, we share how we connected Mozilla Common Voice audio sentences to
the Dagbanli dictionary entries on Wikidata, so learners can hear words
used in real, and everyday context by native speakers. We also discuss the
challenges we faced and why this matters for under-resourced languages.

Kindly read it here:
https://diff.wikimedia.org/2026/04/22/mozilla-common-voice-meets-wikidata-how-the-dagbanli-dictionary-got-audio-usage-examples/

We think this approach can be replicated for other languages, especially
indigenous ones, and we'd love to connect with anyone interested in
collaborating.

Feel free to reach out or share within your networks!

Warm regards,
Mohammed Awal.
