Dear Wikimedian, We are excited to invite you to the global launch of the Wiki For Sustainable Futures campaign, formerly known as Wiki for Human Rights, taking place on 22nd April.
This refreshed campaign builds on years of collective effort across the Wikimedia movement and introduces a renewed focus reflected in its name change <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/WikiForHumanRights_Renaming_and_Coordination>, from Wiki for Human Rights to Wiki For Sustainable Futures to more intentionally center environmental and climate-related topics. The 2026 edition of the “Wiki for Sustainable Futures” campaign <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wiki_for_Sustainable_Futures_2026> invites everyone to contribute knowledge that helps build futures worth living. Under the theme "Knowledge to Transform: Water, Food, Energy", we want to connect current global policy discussions to national and local realities. For this year’s campaign, we are using the five UN reports showcased in the Global Topic List. The campaign will run from 22nd April -6 July 2026, with activities taking place across regions.
