Dear African Wikimedians,

Just a quick reminder that we are still collecting stories for the January
2026 edition of the EduWiki Newsletter, and the submission deadline is fast
approaching.

If you haven’t yet, we encourage you to submit stories highlighting
Wikimedia and education projects, experiences, reflections, or your
community’s education plans for 2026 via the *Education Newsroom
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Education/News/Newsroom>*. The deadline
for submissions is 26 January 2026.

We would also like to remind you that the* January 2026 EduWiki Knowledge
Showcase* is happening tomorrow. The showcase offers an opportunity to
reflect together on Wikipedia at 25, hear from community members, and
exchange perspectives on the role of open knowledge and education in our
work. Registration remains open via the *event Meta page
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Event:Wikipedia_%26_Education_User_Group_Showcase/January_2026>*
for
those who would like to join the live session and take part in the
discussion. Live interpretation is available in *French, Spanish, and
Portuguese*.

Thank you to everyone who has already submitted, and we look forward to
reading more stories and seeing many of you at the showcase.

Warm regards,
Barakat Adegboye <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:BAdegboye_(EdWH)>,
