Now I've had some fun, if I wanted to give monoprice the benefit of the doubt, I would guess that what they're really trying to say here is that these are larger (normal) gauge and real copper and not CCA. There are some thin/super flexible cables out there that use rediculously thin conductors and some cheap cables which are CCA - neither of which are good for PoE.
