Does anybody have a software they can recommend that one can run on a VM that
simply joins a list of multicast groups and alerts if they drop the channel for
any reasons, either on the multicast side or the unicast side?

I'm envisioning a software that simply joins every channel on an IPTV service,
and would give us a proactive alert if a channel drops; if the device is
'beside' the multicast headend, that would indicate a probably channel feed
problem.
