Usually we can get them in a 2-3 months. The recollection from my colleague (I wasn’t there) was that this person claimed he could get them done in a few weeks due to his contacts with the railroads. I think it’s possible. There’s a certain amount of “name grading” that happens with permits and such. “Oh an application from <consultant guy>? Put it through, he knows what he’s doing.” Or conversely, “An application from Adam Moffett? He’s a total idiot, double check everything.”
I’m not saying that’s what happens, but I’m saying it sounds plausible. Plausible enough that I’d pay the guy at least once to see whether he’s full of crap. That’s all assuming he’s not a figment of my buddy’s imagination. -Adam From: AF <af-boun...@af.afmug.com> On Behalf Of Josh Luthman Sent: Tuesday, September 24, 2024 2:28 PM To: AnimalFarm Microwave Users Group <af@af.afmug.com> Subject: Re: [AFMUG] RR Crossing Consultant No one is going to guarantee you a few weeks. It could potentially be that, though. FiberSmith does a lot of permits and works with those mobsters, I would start there.
