BatteriesPlus stores carry a line of Duracell Ultra deep cycle AGM batteries in popular sizes, made by East Penn / Deka. Expensive, but convenient in an emergency.
But I see many of them say not for backup or float service. Why? Will they go bad if you don't discharge them regularly? Is this a warranty thing? I've used deep cycle marine batteries for years at tower sites, they seem to work fine. I think these are mainly intended for things like golf carts and forklifts but why the warning?
