What I would do (and have done) is mount a whole spare Rackinjector (you should
have a spare anyway) above or below. It should take well under a minute to swap
all the cables. Then take the old one out of the rack, do whatever you need to,
and it becomes your spare. In my case it's usually awkward and time consuming to
take the screws and cover off while it's still in the rack and all cabled up.
Even if all I want to do is move some of the jumpers that select A, B or C
power.---- Original Message ----From: chuck@go-mtc.comSent: 7/4/2024 3:29:50

swap?

Are there two connectors and two cables?? If so, assuming someone is
hell bent on hot swap, I am sure you would recommend a sequence of connection
and disconnection likely to be safer than the other way?

That would make sense if there was a card edge connector
involved.???

This is a ribbon cable and a 7 pin power connector.

I have some ideas for the next generation product that involves removable
cards,? but that isn't coming in the immediate future as there are other
things which are higher on the priority list.

Maybe some staggered lengths on fingers or contacts to correctly sequence
  the power while inserting them?

  Definitely not recommended.??

The bus is not designed for hot swapping.? So while you might get
away with it,? it isn't recommended.
