Well, not sure about the semantics, but when he said “booster” I was picturing 
an amp rather than a repeater.

I haven’t done it, but If that’s the setup that doesn’t sound crazy.

I worked with the cradlepoint engineers. We had a hard time finding any 
scenario where a repeater would not cause more harm than good. Ended with a 700 
dollar antenna recomended so price wasnt even all that much more than a quality 
repeater.

The biggest concern was the unavoidable feedback loop that would occur
