A voltage divider.  Two resistors in series.
Feed 48 into the end.  Ground on the other end.  Pick off the analog input in 
the middle between the two resistors.  
I would make the 48 volt facing resistor 10,000 ohms
The ground facing resistor 2700 ohms.  56 volts will deliver 11.906 volts to 
the telemetry.

Picking your brains this morning!

 

I need to monitor a 48V battery bank in order to activate some actions on a 
Control by Web X420 device.

 

The x420 only takes up to 12v in the analog input, how can I linearly attenuate 
de 40-50V range in to a 12v range to make this work?
