Title: Re: [AFMUG] Hurricane Ian
Josh,

Thought we were out of the woods, but looks like the generator on our main hut took some storm damage. It worked thought out the whole storm, but crapped out next morning.  We've been dealing with it all day.  Have system patched together and scaled down, so things are working.  Hopefully will have the part we need tomorrow.

All in all we did well.  We were in the worst possible track.  20" of rain in 6 hours. Sustained winds of 70+ with gust over 100 MPH for 6 hours straight.  It was the craziest thing I've ever been through.  Network did great the whole storm though.  Didn't skip a beat.

Personally, very lucky. Minimum damage. My generator is running fine.  Enough propane for another 5-6 days.  May take them that long to get our power back.

Rick:

Getting a bit tropical.  Luckily we are inland and don't have to worry about storm surge or flooding.  Winds are going to be hit or missing.  Depends on how it drifts as it comes by us and what side we end up on.  Worst case will see some 100+ mph winds, best case they stay about 70mph.

At this point I'm still planning on being in Vegas unless there is massive infrastructure damage in our area.

Mark,

I hope you are doing ok.  Myakka City appears to be right in the path of the eye in a few hours!  I’m thankful my mother is no longer in Venice.
