You'd want PTP-450i, not PMP, which is going to be much cheaper (you'd still be looking at over $1k for a link though).
But yeah, that doesn't sound very promising... 900mhz isn't going to go through rock. You should be able to get an old PMP-100 AP and SM for next to nothing if you really want to try it.
