Ubnt had an apparent cyber incident which turned out to be an inside job. The employee who was also the intruder apparently tipped off Krebs about the security incident before it became public knowledge. Krebs reported about the unreported intrusion on his blog, but apparently got various facts wrong probably because of the unreliable source.
As the truth came out Krebs updated the story but apparently ubnt still isn't happy with the way they've been portrayed. Thus, lawsuit. I read through a bit of the filing. The theory ubnt seems to be pushing is that Krebs knew it was all fake but pushed ahead anyways because it fits his narrative and it attracts website visits.
