You may actually want to lower the unit. The higher you go the more even number Fresnel zones you expose which are out of phase for the odd numbered ones. This will actually lower signal. Higher is not always better. Best practice is to try to achieve between .6 and 1 Fresnel zone clearance. Going higher exposes the second zone and starts you losing signal strength.
