If you put a base 3 in there, and use the relay, there is a pretty good chance that automatic control will be added in the near future. It's on the roadmap, near the top of the list, but any dates which might have been associated with any of the features got tossed out of the window due to all of the "fun" we've been having the last 12 months dealing with supply chain issues, employee staffing issues, unprecedented customer demand, and on and on and on and on and on and on and on (is it done yet?) and on. Things are finally settling back down but not to the point where I've been able to make an educated guess as to when these features will make it out the door.
