I found a chart of plastic interactions with chemicals. Odd that this
chemical does not mess with plastic too much. Most of them have limited
resistance or total resistance to it. It dissolves grease and oil so that
is why it worked.
Odd though, it will mess with polyethylene and polypropylene. Those two
plastics are impervious to almost everything. You can't glue them etc. Now
I have to go see what it will do to them.

First time I did it I fully expected the brake cleaner to melt plastic and
ruin the phone. Whatever solvent it is made from seems to not harm the
speaker diaphragm at least.
