I've been eyeing these LiFePo batteries for a while. I have not gotten any, because, well, Alibaba. That said, you can put together a 13KWH (48V @ 280AH) battery for less than $400.

Maybe if several of us get together, we can get a gross of them?

I just received a quote for a Narada Li-ion 100AH that was a bit more expensive than I had hoped, so I may go with something more conventional.
