One of the new managers at water company used to work for an outfit that does fiber. All of sudden...that IT company is bidding on SCADA projects. We have done several fiber projects for them at waste water plants which have a ton of EMI and RFI noise so Ethernet cabling had a lot of issues. All of them solid for years...we test everything...just like we do with all our wiring... Never asked us for certification...oh well , i don't mind learning new tricks and getting another certification...i just don't want to travel far..
