The research that I have done on G.fast basically dictates that the dslam
needs a very good signal to get those gigabit speeds. I think less than
1500' and good copper. VDSL and ADSL2+ is a bit more forgiving in terms of
distance. But you get 100/50 and 24/1 respectively.
