Yeah, we rod the cylinders normally.  That takes times.  25 tamps at three 
different levels.  30 raps with a mallet etc.  The spec shows we can also just 
vibrate them.  So we put them all on a shake table this time.  Much quicker.  
Inside the broken cylinders they were pretty solid and homogeneous.

You might have gotten higher load of there were fewer voids. I noticed a few 
voids in the "before" picture, and that is only on the surface.
