You're sure you want to do that? I mean the political youtube video, not the video editing software. Unless you're running for road commissioner or town council or something, then go for it.
Regarding software, I tried Cyberlink PowerDirector to edit my dad's 16mm home movies that I had transferred to digital. Kind of like Audacity for video. I didn't find it very intuitive and I kind of stumbled around, but of course I didn't read the manual or watch any tutorials. I also have no experience with video editing. So you might fare better. Looks like I paid $80 for the Ultra version lifetime license, they also have subscriptions. Also the website says something about a 25% promo discount on the latest version 19 ending tomorrow. I know there's a whole religious argument out there about how dare you do video editing on any platform other than a Mac.
