I have an opengear console server that can use a regular ethernet cable to be used for serial communications. Problem is I received 2 Calix E7's both with RJ11. Now I have db9 to rj-11 and db9 to rj-45 but it will look unsightly on both ends.
I'd like to know which pins a Cisco style RJ-45 uses versus which ones an RJ-11 serial port would use. Or if you know of someone selling little dongles that would work from RJ45-RJ11 I'll just buy a dozen of them.
