One small advantage of the pandemic is the number of conferences and events
that can be now 'attended' online, without travel.

The Software-Defined Radio Academy had an event a month ago. TAPR amateur
radio group's Digital communications Conference is in mid-september;
following that is the GNU software-defined radio conference.

NANOG is in mid-october, although not cheap for a virtual conference at $250
 USD.

Are there any other events that would be good to consider attending from a
RF / WISP PoV?
