He promised to choose a woman. Some have pushed him to choose a “woman of color”, but if he announced his running mate will be black, I missed that. Two frequently mentioned candidates are indeed Kamala Harris and Susan Rice. Amy Klobuchar took her name off the list. Also supposedly on the short list is Tammy Duckworth who is Asian-American (mother was Thai Chinese), as well as some other black and Hispanic candidates.
