We have used the chicken ladder as well. They are heavy; that is the biggest issue. However, I've been on one on a 12:12 roof, and it was solid, and I never felt like it would let go.

I have a set of the Acro chicken ladder sections.  I like them but I can’t get the techs to use them.  They are kind of heavy, probably the Goat ladder solves that, but it ain’t cheap.  I think the chicken ladder would be easier to work from in various sitting and standing positions, as well as to keep tools and parts from falling off the roof.

This is probably old news to you guys that still deal with roof climbing all day long but it looked kind of neat.
