It's called Hamilton, but many of the other founding fathers are in it as well (e.g. George Washington). He and Thomas Jefferson were at loggerheads for much of the creation of the US, and had diametrically opposed views about states rights versus a strong central government (Hamilton was very much a common man, and Jefferson was much more of an aristocrat).

I think that Lin Manuel Miranda re-imagined it somewhat by using a cast who was almost entirely composed of people of color to see how it would spin. I think it is historically accurate in so far as you can do that. Surely some of the 4th wall comments are made up, but do reflect what we believe the people of that time were thinking.

Not really sure what it is about other than Alex Hamilton.  Perhaps there is a gun fight?  Is it revisionist history?

I have been interested in watching that. I had thought I'd just get a
free trial account to just watch this, but they terminated the free
trial program just prior to putting this up.

I can wait some more.

I have not seen the production, or listened to the soundtrack, but I have several friends that are planning multiple viewing parties tomorrow (Multiple viewings at the same house).  Interesting to see what it does to streaming levels.  Is it as big in the rest of the country as it is here in Chicagoland?
