Yeah, they are really good at emulating rattlesnakes by buzzing their tails 
against leaves or in your case, the box or tube. A survival tactic that 
obviously works well.

  Western Gopher Snakes. Harmless. Can bite though, but not poisonous. Don't 
kill them.
