Was originally inspired by a telephone lineman on a pole in a straight array of poles that ran for miles. But it references searching for another overload so there is some crossover with power linemen. Since I was a lineman many years ago this has always been a favorite of mine. Glen Campbel did the most famous version of course. It was just a song that someone had written and was not planned to be recorded, but Glen did it just because it was there one afternoon and the rest is history.
