I'd like to do a bunch of temperature monitoring in a server room.
Hot/Cold Aisle, multiple racks input/output. I have used an ITWatchdogs
'MiniGoose XP II' at another location, but it's like that product has
never existed, even though I have one. It was a single Ethernet
interface, with 16 temperature probes.
The Current 'Watchdog' Products look like they only support a max of 8
probes and their part numbering is really confusing.
What are people using to do environmental monitoring? I don't need any
control, just monitoring. I thought Packetflux had a unit with 4 or 5
temp probe inputs, but I can't find it now. I'd like to have 10-15
sensors to place around the room to see if I'm having airflow problems.
One of my Colo Customers is complaining about losing Hard disks and
power supplies to heat, but my current monitoring isn't showing any
temperature problems, and the HVAC in/out temps have had no changes.
