Maybe I'm crazy, but I'm planning to hang some licensed links. Has anyone worked out guidelines for tower climbers and ground crew? We typically have 3 people, one on tower, one on ground sending up equipment by rope, maybe a 3rd person who could help on the ground or aloft. Much of this doesn't require being within 6 feet of each other, much involves wearing work gloves, but I'm sure some changes in behavior will be needed.
Also might need everyone to drive separately to the site. Points of entry are eyes, nose, and mouth. This is harder to do than you might think. If there is any good use for face masks, it is to train people to not touch their face. The mask does not need to be N95, it is more a training device than a protection device. Also, wash your hands (or sanitize) at every opportunity. bp <part15sbs{at}gmail{dot}com> On 3/28/2020 8:51 AM, ch...@wbmfg.com <mailto:ch...@wbmfg.com> wrote: I have stepped up our response to this at work. Comments and suggestions are very much welcome. 1) Mechanic will work swing shift. No overlap with day shift employees. 2) PCB production stays in their part of the building. 3) Fabrication stay in their part of the building. 4) Avoid the lunchroom. 5) OSP construction one person per truck. 6) Bring lunch from home and eat it alone in the truck. 7) Vac excavators will have to do it with one person. Much slower but safer. 8) More 2 way radio use to try to enforce the 10 foot rule. Anything I can add?
