youre pushing the limits of reality now. swine flu, hundreds of thousands
sick, nobody ran out of beds. the tripe you believe about beds is the
current active bed count. every year, every state in the nations healthcare
systems go through disaster preparedness, including pandemic. there are
millions of identified beds nationwide that will go into play, and that not
counting the state national guard bed capabilities or (shudder) FEMA. I
know this for fact because i used to be involved in illinois. If it got to
the point where you friends friend in the coma had no bed, the body count
would simply be "piles" at that point. and people ill enough to be going
into medically induced comas would have been black tag triaged
because we would have run out of practitioners for care
