This is true about Tx power in other LTE bands as well.

Upstream is the weak link.  Nobody cares about upstream.  Rather, some customers care about upstream, but not enough to sacrifice downstream for it.

Something I haven’t quite understood about LTE and actually even 450m under Part 96, is xmt power.  It seems like the basestations/APs use the new higher regulatory EIRP, but do any of the customer side radios have that kind of power? I’m thinking no, probably due to some combination of cost, size and power consumption?  Can you imagine a CPE that consumes over 100 watts?

Why isn’t upstream the weak link?

Sorry, I thought that was already answered.  Cambium LTE is a different SM.

Nobody has ever indicated that a 450 SM would work with LTE, and there's no reason to think it ever would.

In any case I wasn't trying to argue with you about it.  I'm glad you liked Baicells.

3.65Ghz 450 vs. Baicells is not better = we have real-world

non-existent, so that isn’t even a conversation between the two.
My question is will the 450SM’s work with Cambium LTE product?  I
would like confirmation on that if you all are able, because if
they will not then I am going to offload them along with my 450
    APs I am selling.

    Thanks,

In my opinion, 450 is better than Baicells or Telrad LTE at
    everything except NLOS performance.

....Except that NLOS performance is so useful that one can be
tempted to ignore all of the other features of the 450. I do
understand that tradeoff because I've had to make it myself.

just trying to determine if the SMs will be usable on Cambium
LTE once they roll it out, or if it will require a completely
        different SM.

Why are you getting rid of 3.65 Cambium in favor of LTE?

I think I heard next quarter for the 3.5.

Cambium products seem consistently good in my experience.
