I have a friend who had that kind of track record. We used to
joke that we could plant an arrow out of his back to show the
correct way to go.

I thought for a while that people should just
look at what I invest in and short them. I had a nearly
100% success rate in picking stocks which would eventually
become worthless. But again I also at the time figured
that there was a high percentage chance that the stocks I
picked would do that - it was more gambling than investing
since they were largely R&D ventures.
I do still occasionally buy a few shares of
individual stocks, but it really is more of a bit of "I
trust and respect this company, I would like to own a
little piece of it" than investing. Tesla, Microchip
Technologies, etc. Will probably pick up some CMBM.
Other than that I just stick to index funds anymore.
