I have a friend who had that kind of track record. We used to joke that we could plant an arrow out of his back to show the correct way to go.

So I bought a bit of CMBM today.   Stock immediately lost 3.65%.... My trend continues.

(It's a long-term purchase, I'm not particularly worried).

I thought for a while that people should just look at what I invest in and short them.   I had a nearly 100% success rate in picking stocks which would eventually become worthless.     But again I also at the time figured that there was a high percentage chance that the stocks I picked would do that - it was more gambling than investing since they were largely R&D ventures.

I do still occasionally buy a few shares of individual stocks, but it really is more of a bit of "I trust and respect this company, I would like to own a little piece of it" than investing.   Tesla, Microchip Technologies, etc.   Will probably pick up some CMBM.   Other than that I just stick to index funds anymore.

I am thinking of following up my strategic Moviepass investment with one in PG&E.  It has to be bottoming out.  No where to go but up, right?
