Read the article.  It appears to me they are referring to unlicensed 5 GHz and 
millimeter wave as “5G”.

 

Companies need to stop calling 5 GHz “5G” and journalists need to stop being so 
gullible or uninformed.  It doesn’t help when AT&T markets advanced 4G LTE as 
“5G Evolution” or “5GE”, but arguably that’s less deceptive than calling 
something 5G because it operates at 5 GHz.

I dont think starlink will be able to go head to head on next gen wireless gear
