https://computerstepbystep.com/dns-suffix-search-list.html its a windows NT setting so it may be obsoleted It never occurred to me that thats what that was for, I always thought that was a function of netbios, but id never dealt with it off the local network. I wonder if that why occasionally i have to put in .local on the domain for certain functions?
