Yeah, if you want cheap, go with ubiquiti 900mhz. I'd guess more like at least 6-8 watts... they use a bit more power than 2.4 or 5ghz ubiquiti stuff.
Cambium PTP450 is a good option if you want something better, but it's a lot more costly. I think Mikrotik makes (or at least used to) a 900mhz radio too, that's fairly cheap, but I haven't used them.
