Got my AirTV in and configured. I has a stand alone IOS app that allows you to
do everything but DVR. The DVR knobs are only found in the Sling TV app. But
you can get a free guest account.

I actually had a low level Sling account that I had forgot about (needed for
AMC Better Call Saul and others). It took a bunch of tries to figure out to
how to uninstall from AirTV app and then reinstall to the Sling. The reset
button needs to be pressed and held until a particular double led flash.

Then and only then will it broadcast a wifi ap signal that you log into with
your phone. No remote, no output. Just power, F connector, USB and an
ethernet connector (that I have yet to make work, I think the problem is on my
side). No tv output. So you will need a roku or some other device to watch
the signal.

Once I got it installed on the Sling app, then I had to format the external HDD
(that you have to provide).

Sling app has a nice grid TV guide. The locals all show up in it once you get
it rolling.

So far, the only two downsides are the audio is much louder than the other
streaming sources and I have not yet figured out how to pause live TV.

I would give this little $75 box two thumbs up. Place it in a place on the
planet where you have OTA channels you like. As long as you have internet
there, you can then watch those OTA channels from any place on the planet.
