Most of the time we either do a 24v power supply and batteries plus a 24v
to 48v DC-DC converter, or a 48v power supply and batteries, with a 48v to
24v DC-DC converter (mainly depending on whether there's more stuff that
needs 24v or 48v), but sometimes we'll do completely separate 24v and 48v
power supplies. Most of the newer radios run on 48v, so in some cases,
we're completely 48v, or if we only need to run one or two devices on 24v,
I'll just use the ubiquiti instant 802.3af converters for those.
