Especially for a bank, I would want hot standby hardware/blades and
everything on a VM with raid bazillion etc with off site storage mirrored 
etc.  

I am imagining a room with a bunch of old desktop towers on a shelf, 
nothing matching and a horrible ratsnest of cables.

Virtual Box I can do most anything in linuxI do prefer EXSi and 
vmware for production hosts though.

Are they all windows or linux?  There is a very obvious 
solution.

Have a location with about 8 different devices.  Most are 
now usb mouse / keyboard 

What's best kvm type switch now? 

Mine at home is all ps/2
