With everything distributed on the cloud would one part of an app or service
not be able to reach another part? Thus providing all kinds of weird bugs?

If so wonder if that is why some things would work one time but not
another....and why reloading often helps (hitting another server when you
reload?)

I haven't been online much today but lots if chatter about it tonight....

This is somewhat speculation, but there was another issue with many google
things (gmail, drive, maps, etc.) that was blamed on a network routing SNAFU. I
am wondering out loud whether the google and facebook problems are related.--
