The Tesla uses its own heater to keep em warm. It takes it from the charge or charging station

I agree with all this but I will put in one more MAJOR con..  You cannot charge Lithium if the battery is at or below freezing.  Hocus Pocus No No...   Battery must be above 0 degrees C.   If I could guarantee that in my configurations I would bite the price bullet in a second.

If you're going to be discharging frequently and have size and weight limitations (like mobile devices) then Lithium makes perfect sense.  As a backup battery I don't see any advantages that actually matter to me.  It only discharges during a power outage, and I'm usually more sensitive to cost than to size and weight.
