Last summer some Russian Knapweed grew up in front of my 10kW solar array for
my home and killed my production enough that I had to pay at least $100 more
for power than I should have that month.

I normally hit the weedy areas with Casoron this time of year. It is a
pre-emergent so it has to be washed in with the meager amounts of precip we get
here. But it seems the Knapweed has grown tolerant or something.

So bringing out this big guns this year. Paramatol.

The bag says:
For the use of Pramitol 5PS on annual broadleaf weeds and grasses use at the
rate of 0.35-0.46 lb. per 100 square feet (equivalent to 152-200 ibs. per acre)
For the use of Pramitol 5PS on most perennial broadleaf weeds and grasses use
at the rate of 0.70-0.92 lb. per 100 square feet (equivalent to 304-400 lbs.
per acre).

I sectioned off a 75’ run by 4’ out from the front of the solar panels. I put
down .25, .5 and 1 lb per 100 square feet.

Be interesting to see the difference in the three sections this summer.

Nice thing is that you can put this down any time and it will kill living
stuff. Casoron had to be washed into the soil pre-germination. It is cheaper
than Casoron too.
